Acrylic beads prevent bunching which can reduce filter efficiency, and maximizes filtration surface area. Spiral roving reduces pleat flex and fatigue, maximizing the surface area for filtration and increasing contaminant retention. A nylon center tube prevents metal particles entering the fuel system as contaminants from filter manufacture process. Molded end caps eliminate possible leak paths seen with glued end caps.
